Presenter: Amanda Lawrence, Research and Strategy Manager, Policy Online
Research on media policy needs to include and be supported by research infrastructure. APO.org.au has been a key project in this area since 2002 and now includes 4000 organisations, 12,000 authors and 30,000 resources. APO should also be considered media infrastructure as we curate, create and disseminate media content in many formats (also known as grey literature). Thanks to ARC funding and partnerships with many universities we have been able to conduct research and create innovative policy and practice collections and tools – with a number of new developments due to come online soon. Some of these will be presented at this session.
